A number of services are available. For example:
Telephone service providers such as British Telecom, have implemented a number of measures to make services more accessible and easier to use (see section on accessibility-related ICT) including priority for assistance, repairs, etc.
Internet access is now available at many public libraries in order to improve access to e-mail and the WWW. However, there is no statutory funding or mechanism for making computers available for home use by older people.
British Telecom have established a national Age & Disability Action initiative whose vision is 'Freedom to Communicate', dedicated to raising disability awareness both inside and outside BT.
