Various research and experimental projects are currently under way in Sweden. Most are publicly funded, in the form of joint ventures between universities, public agencies and authorities, interest organisations, and commercial enterprises.
Generally, the public ventures are partly focused on research and demonstration projects, and partly on developing applications. No reliable information is available to conclude what applications are being subject to these projects.
There are also a lot of projects taking place in the individual municipalities (mostly concerned with training and e-commerce activities) as well as research and training project done by the pressure groups. However, to maintain focus we here focus on the central research framework and omit the smaller projects.
