The national Spanish ICT and Telecom industry is developed on average. The penetration of PC's at home some below average, as is the ISDN infrastructure. From a commercial and infrastructural perspective, Spains perspective towards the IST market is promising.
Rates of (mobile) telephony are average in Spain. Penetration of PC's at home is below average. The market needs still some investments and purchases of hardware before IST services can be successfully be introduced on a lager scale.
The wealth of an individual elderly person is some below average in Spain. Continuous education by 54-64 year old people is low compared to other countries. Related to the some below average penetration of PC's this could imply little knowledge and not yet clear interest of elderly people in the current supply of IST services.
